Last of the Spring Bounty

The change in season has well and truly been felt – think hot hot days and summer storms at night – so I harvested  the last of the Spring fruiting crops all together to take this image.

I love free stuff! That’s how I see (really small) small-scale farming – plan ahead a bit and plant or sow what’s in season, water and nurture when you’re slightly-less-busy-than-usual and – some time after – a Little One will come running up to you with a fistful of nibbled beans or tomato, proud of their discovery.

This probably doesn’t help shrink the grocery bills much but the pay off in educating and encouraging healthy eating habits is my rich reward!

Happy Harvesting.
